If you haven't been to this, come out. It is really only a one day event. The coordinator will leave a recording on his phone if it is cancelled due to weather. Lots of neat things without electrical systems or radios show up. I should be there with the L-5. Website is linked below. Weather may be an issue, but Saturday is looking great. Sorry to not have photos- I offered to help Mike Strieter and most of my time was spent launching aircraft on departure. Some real neat stuff. Bird with a Kinner, two Staggerwings, a Menasco powered Great Lakes Racer, a beautiful yellow and black UC-78, 1929 DH60 Moth. I flew in the missing man formation to honor long-time member Dave Price, who passed away last year. If you haven't come to this event, you should. I will try to get photos from another participant who had time for cameras, but no promises. |
