Hello: I happened to find this group talking about my Stearman, GSDK. I keep it in St. Catharines, and fly it regularly, although soon I will put it away for the winter. Thanks for showing an interest in my old airplane. Dave www.davesairplanes.com |

Isn't that airplane a D75N1? (an ex-Canadian PT-27) Dan |

Yes, it is a D75N1, but I've never checked to see if this meant that it was a PT-27. I understand that it started its life as a trainer in Corpus Christi Texas. |

I'll have a look at my files in a few days when I get home but I think that all the D75N1's were Canadian PT-27's. I have an E75 that was a Army PT-13D and a B75N1 that was in the Navy as an N2S-3. All the Canadian PT-27's were based in Alberta and one of the old fields (it's a prison now) is about half an hour south of me via Stearman. Dan |
