Two Cylinder Motor ID Needed

I need some help ID'ing a motor that a donor to our museum has in her collection. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I could be very wrong about this, but that engine looks a lot like some of the 2 cycle engines that I have seen in turn of the century horseless carriages. Are you 100% sure that it is aviation related?
