New series on CBC Canada ARTIC AIR

Just stumbled onto the first program of a brand new TV series on Canadian CBC TV called ARTIC AIR. It's basically a TV soap opera but lots of nice turbo beaver and DC-3 flying in and around Yellow Knife. Has all the usual series drama conflicts but, we'll see, it beat the crap out of whatever else was on.

Has all the usual series drama conflicts but, we'll see, it beat the crap out of whatever else was on.

I watched it - well fast-forward mostly. The DC-3 'flying' sequences are CGI or green screen. The cockpit and interior shots are done in an old fuselage in a Vancouver studio.

The DC-3 in the distance on the ramp at CYZF looked real though so I assume it was a Buffalo one given a temporary paint job. The scheme was identical with red replacing green.

Why do they take a perfectly good show or movie (anything to do with aircraft) and ruin it with drama?
