Shoestrings?

Tue Dec 11, 2012 5:00 am

Hello People,
Its been a few years since I last posted here. I'm the owner (and builder) of I believe the only Canadian built and owned Shoestring (built from scratch from original Ketner drawings).

In the past I have been in contact with a few builders of Shoestrings (R Goss, P Newlon and B Goebel are a few fellows that come to mind). I was also briefly in touch with Gary Austin prior to his passing.

How many of these projects have been completed enough to fly? What's the word on projects under way?

Scott

Scott,

I have not made any progress on my endeavor, but... I have been supplying a few folks from all corners of the globe with .pdf copies of plans.

I still have cd's available for sale for anyone who may be interested. I just sell them for enough to offset the cost of taking the paper prints digitized to CD. If anyone is interested in the plans please PM me.

It is still my intention to build a shoestring. I am planning on building a "cruiser" and not a hard core racer. In addition I will most likely tweak the dimensions a bit to enlarge the cockpit.

I am quite busy with aircraft restorations, customer work and such. Unfortunately the fun projects move to the back of the schedule... :(
