I love browsing through airliners.net. However, one thing has started to get to me-how do some of these guys manage to get some of the photos they take? A lot of them look like they have to have been taken within the fences, and it makes me wonder just how they're allowed inside. So I'm asking here, how does one get permission to do that, if it happens at all? Or do I need to be a pilot or airport staffer to be able to do such a thing?

Alot of it depends on "who ya know!" Just depending on how the natives are you might be able to ask someone. Never hurts to ask! Your big airports will be harder to get access. No one is allowed inside the fence unless you are escorted by a badged individual.
