hi all, Well yesterday was my local airports fly-in breakfast at the Bradford county airport in Towanda, Pa. Report: Things didn't go as planned. All of the aircraft that I had organized to come never showed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The only thing that showed I organzied was the U.S. Coast Guard with a display booth. ![]() I am somewhat disapointed that most of the things I organized never showed. But I guess that is normal and I understand. I was hoping to impress the airport staff some but I guess I will have to continue onward and maybe try again for next year. I somehow feel it was not totally my fault some people from the airport don't seem to care to do much for the fly-in and I am affraid that will prevent the fly-in to be anymore then what it already is. ![]() Anyway I got some pics maybe some will find interesting. I hope you enjoy them. ![]() Thanks, Nathan ![]() ![]() Aircraft lining up to refuel: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The main ramp. This was overflowing with aircraft by 11am and some aircraft had to taxi out on the grass as the taxi-way got jammed with incoming and outgoing aircraft ![]() |

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Nate. Weather can sure be a stinker with this kind of event. Give yourself a few months to forget the disappointment and then get going on planning an even better event for 2010. Perhaps incorporating an additional group (re-enactors, classic cars, etc.) that isn't restricted by iffy weather would help bring more spectators to your event. |
