hi all,
Well yesterday was my local airports fly-in breakfast at the Bradford county airport in Towanda, Pa.
Report: Things didn't go as planned. All of the aircraft that I had organized to come never showed.

We had a heavy fog over the feild that did not lift until 9:45. A Medivac helicopter cancelled because it was fogged in. And I got a call from the CAP squadron that were going to attend and found out they somehow drove to the wrong airport that was about 3 hours away. Steve Gay was suppost to be there with a Stinson V-77 but never showed. And I didn't see anything from Geneseo.

Also someone within the airport staff dropped the ball and did not advertise the fly-in in the local papers and radio stations so we had a decrease in attendance from the local population!!! No idea why it wasn't done but I am rather po'd because of it.
The only thing that showed I organzied was the U.S. Coast Guard with a display booth.

When the fog lifted it was nice blue sky but a nasty cross wind. Food was mmmm good and about 25 to 30 aircraft showed up between 10 and 11am and most left by 12.
I am somewhat disapointed that most of the things I organized never showed. But I guess that is normal and I understand. I was hoping to impress the airport staff some but I guess I will have to continue onward and maybe try again for next year. I somehow feel it was not totally my fault some people from the airport don't seem to care to do much for the fly-in and I am affraid that will prevent the fly-in to be anymore then what it already is.

I tried to change that for this breakfast but I failed.
Anyway I got some pics maybe some will find interesting. I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks,
Nathan
Aircraft lining up to refuel:
The main ramp. This was overflowing with aircraft by 11am and some aircraft had to taxi out on the grass as the taxi-way got jammed with incoming and outgoing aircraft
