I don't recall ever hearing about a structural failure in a FORD.

Recently there was talk of John Mohr recreating Harold Johnson's aerobatic routine at air shows this year, using Greg Herrick's second Trimotor, which has recently been rebuilt incorporating some additional strengthening for the purpose. However, this all seems to have gone quiet.

Didn't someone pull the wings off of a Tri-motor in flight a few years back? I seem to remember seeing a video of it going down just off the field but by some miracle, the pilot survived.

Wow, that loop was at fairly low altitude. And that roll wasn't just a roll, it was a snap roll! Great footage.
