Wish it was a US airline that was doing that well, though. |

Good to get some of the oil money back... I'm glad they're (Boeing and the airline) doing well and the 777 is a great plane. |

The problem here in the States is all the 'conglomerating' that's been going on with UNINENTAL and DELTAWEST and even SOUTHWESTTRAN and the fall off in commercial flying the airlines are parking airplanes that they cannot begin to fill. The Middle East/Asia are who has the money and the market demand and they all want newer and bigger so there's almost no market for older, used airliners there. The announcement was ammended later today to clarify that this is the biggest commercial airplane order in Boeings history. It puts 'trip' orders over the 1300 mark. |

I think the bigger news is that the 737 MAX now has over 600 commitments. Additionally, even with the commitments for the 737 MAX and A320neo, it's interesting that Airbus has a net loss of 141 airframes to the end of October and Boeing has a net gain of 435 as of the end of last week. |

Wish they would have gone with a new design! http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/fligh ... t_1000.jpg |
