Does anyone know anything about the Acrosport biplane. Is it a good one to own and fly? Thanks |

Pretty decent acro ship. Easier to land than a Pitts, but not quite as capable either. Designed to be easier to build. I don't think you will find many unhappy Acrosport owners. I never flown one, but I've flown single and two place Pitts. I would think the Acro might be a little roomier than a Pitts. Are you wanting to build or buy? Steve |

Thanks for the help guys. A student of mine is looking at buying a nearly finished acrosport II. i told him I would fly the test time off of it and teach him how to fly it. It sure looks nice. Hope he buys it. |

The Acro II has roomier cockpits than a Pitts. It's got more cockpit room than a Marquart Charger, which is a larger airplane overall. If it has the original style gear, it's very easy to land. If it's been modded to spring gear, it won't be as nice. It will do everything a Pitts S2 with comparable power can do, though a bit more "relaxed" about it, except snaps are harder due to the unswept top wing. Do you know who built it, and is there an engine with the project? Chris |

Thanks. THe buyer backed out on this one, buying an RV-8 kit instead. It has the Cub style landing gear and 180 hp. with fixed pitch prop. THey look fun to fly. Very roomy, I am 6' tall. It has plenty of room to spare inboth cockpits. |
