I am planning on going for my second time this year. And advice on hotels, shuttles vs car rental, camping etc. I haven't decided on anything other then that I'm going.

Are there any hotels that aren't booked by now? I used to book my room on January first...

I looked for week days and the are open and cheap! So are cars but this is all because i have to be home by Sat AM I'm sure.

I haven't been since the 1990s, so I'm not much help. Sorry! You'll have a great time though. Prepare for weather extremes- it can be in the 90s or it can snow, and all in the same week.

It used to be... if you didn't book at least 3~4 months prior, you couldn't get into any of the major hotels. For the last several years, it's become less of a problem. I bet you can get into one right up to the event now...
