Today, the 27th of November 2012 is the 50th anniversary of E-1 being rolled out and shown to the world @ Renton, WA. E-1 would have 1831 sisters before production ended.
E-1 was/is registered N 7001U and is in the collection of the MoF and @ KPAE after being retired several years ago from decades of service with UNITED AIR LINES. Oddly enough, her first and last landings took place at KPAE.
Oh, yeah, E-1 is the first 727.
I earned lots and lots of paychecks screwing new ones together, and later beating old ones back into shape @ BADWRENCH.
