The FAA this afternoon 1/16/13 temporarily suspended the Air Worthiness Certificate for the 787 until they get a handle on the battery issues.
Maybe it's time for the airplane guys to take over from the bean massagers in Chicago-too much outsourcing.

The last time was in 1979 AFTER a series of awful DC-10 fatal accidents topped off with AMERICAN 191 @ ORD.
