I am promoting the sale of this book, to help an Uruguayan author and researcher:

We are proud to present this excellent research work on the F-51 Mustang in service with the Uruguayan Air Force [FAU].

Written by Rolando Grasso, the 185 page book is the most comprehensive work on the FAU Mustangs and is profusely illustrated with black and white photos, as well as color plates.

Written in Spanish, it also has an English Summary included.

ISBN 978-9974-96-529-4

Copies are US$30.00 including postage anywhere in the Continental USA.
To order your copy and for overseas mailing rates, please contact:

Hello Tulio, Very interesting book I do want one :D :!:
I have an Aunt who married an Uruguayan 30+ years ago. They have a place about 30-40 miles outside of Montevideo and go down couple times a year. This year they went down early in the year and just came back about a week ago. I googled around the area looking for planes @ local airports and of course the Intl airport in Monte has several static displays :D , I tried to get my Aunt to get pictures for me but not being an airplane nut like me she comes up with excuses  . I asked her about the ones at Intl if she could get some shots of those but she told me they were on the military side :?: , Looks to me like some are right by the darn road coming in :!: , I did notice a T-33 over there.
I also came across at an airport named after a General not too far from Monte(can't remember what direction :?: ) with what looked like a T-6 parked in front of the building :!:
I been meaning to ask you what you have as far as pix of displayed A/C in Uruguay.
Thanks.

Steve,

I have quite a few photos of Uruguayan aircraft.

Check your PMs, please.

Would you please contact Gary Kuhn regarding your book?

Dr. Kuhn is a member of the Minnesota-Uruguay Partners of the Americas group, and he too, has a sizable collection of Uruguayan aircraft images and data.

The book is great, lots and lots of operational information; IMHO it belongs in any personal Mustang library.

Saludos,

Tulio
