All,

Unfortunately, the soft cover version of my book is not yet available.

The hard cover is available from several online retailers, notably, Amazon.com and Amazon.ca

I'm expecting reviews in the next few weeks from several aviation magazines.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

All,

A couple of dozen enthusiasts/photographers obtained a copy of my book from me at this years Thunder. I have to assume that some of them are Wixers. If anyone is finished reading it, how about an honest review here or at amazon.com I am well into Volume 2 of the same title and need to know what you think of the format.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Got my copy today Tom. I looks good. read a little at work and quite interesting. Noticed Hofer is not in this volume so I'll have to wait until the next one. He is in then next volume?

Adam,

Yes, Kidd Hofer's story will be in Volume II along with other 4th FG luminaries such as; "Big Mac" McGrattan, "Wee Michael" McPharlin, "Mike" Sobanski, "Freddie" Glover and "Andy" Anderson. It should be out in a year or less as I have finished 75% of the intended 35 articles. I have amassed enough material for three additional books after Volume II. Right now I am looking for a new Publisher as they are not promoting the book to the degree it deserves. When you have finished reading the book let me and others know what you think.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

No problem. Just wondering why you didn't list the names in the chapter headings?

Adam,

Yes, a serious oversight by the Publisher in their rush to get it to print! I was not given enough time to proof the contents. This will not happen with subsequent Volumes.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Less then a 100 pages to go and I am done reading this Tom. Lots of interviews with first person sources never before written about.

Adam,

Thanks for the kind comment. I am having the time of my life with this project. It is a vast untold segment of American aviation history that needs to be told.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

I just happened to finish your book today Tom. I would have finished sooner, but my kid's homework takes precedence. I learned all sorts of new things with your research and first person interviews of relatives and friends. Your book is a great third addition to Escort to Berlin and 1000 Destroyed if you are a big fan of the 4th fighter group like me. Can you include pictures of the pilots or planes that they flew. The non 4th guys were mostly new to me and it would have been nice to see what they looked like. I know that publishing a book is a monumental task, so congratulations on a nice piece of work.

Adam,

I am humbled that you put my work in the same category as "Escort To Berlin" and "1000 Destroyed". The publisher only allowed me 17 pictures in Volume 1 and that is one of the reasons why I'm searching for another company to print my future works. I'm hoping at some point down the road that the first volume will be reprinted, thereby incorporating an increased number of photographs. In the meantime, you and any others who have read it, can support the project by giving it a review at amazon.com

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.
