That picture of a stagecoach and a plane is a very historical event. The celebration shows the start of United Air Lines when they opened a U.S mail flying service. Plane on the right is a Swallow mail plane, fitted with a Curtiss C-6 engine. With such a high-performance engine it must have been a very racy plane to fly! Picture was taken in 1928.
