Hello all. I am new to your forums. I play a online WW2 combat sim called Aces High. I have taken up the squad VMF-213 Hell Hawks as a way to keep some history in our game as many folks do. I have traded emails with a historian of sorts, on the 213. A developer in our game is going to make a paint scheme using Lt. Defabio's plane. The image I have is of the F4u1. I really need images of the F4u1a flown by the 213 so I can get that scheme made also. I know, by looking at declassified squadron and aircraft locations that squadron flew F4u1a's later in the war, but I am unable to come up with any images of them. If it helps They were part of Air Group 4 and embarked on the USS Essex, along with the VMF-124 on Dec. 18th 1944 to become the first carrier based Marine squadrons.
Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.
