What a sweet ride! Does anybody know how many are still flying (in private hands or otherwise)?

For those who don't know, the first two pictures posted and Tim Adam's pictures are before and after shots of the same plane. Collings foundation TA-4F BuNo 153524. Well done, Tim. Nice shots ! :D

The white Blue Angels TA-4 was a temporary stand in while BuNo 158722 was undergoing a SDLM inspection. The white jet came from Taining Command and was called Caspar. In some shots, at certain angles, you can just make out the orange nose and tail under the white paint.

The Blue Angel 7 jet BuNo 158722 in Peter-Four-Ohs post is displayed in pseudo Marine markings on the USS Lexington. She retains her cranked refueling probe.

Compare to Tim's shot, this one taken by Takafumi Hiroe, 1969, NAS Atsugi, Japan.

Boneyard, when did you take the pics of the tree TA-4s ? I've never seen the wings cut for shipping. Wonder where they were going with those 3 ?
