Hey all,
I am finally getting around to getting pictures up of a trip a co-worker, his 16 year old son and I made down to Dayton 2 weeks ago. We had a great time and got to tour the Presidential/X-Plane annex and the restoration hangar.
Special thanks to Misterg97 and mustangdriver for the help! Nice to finally meet you Jerry!
I took about 200 pics but I had no mono-pod so about 50% came out blurry. Here are some of my better attempts.
Boy the place has changed since I was there last in the early 90s!
I don't know what type of aircraft this is but it just struck me as, "good lookin'" (I wasn't looking at plaques much!)
My Favorite Picture:
In the Presidential/X-plane hangar
Does anyone know if this is the Yankee Air Museum's old F-84 that NMUSAF brought back?
or this one?

This is from the tail of the Belle. Do you all think this is a battle damage patch? You can also see the names carved into the skin. Graffiti or from the Bond Tour? I think graffiti.

Outside:
The Medal of Honor Memorial
8th Air Force Memorial
9th Air Force Memorial
C-141 used to bring Vietnam POW's home
And the P-82 was in the restoration hangar as well. Looks like it made it there in good shape.
Higher resolution images and some I didn't post can be seen here:

I was using a Canon EOS D60 with a 26-55mm lens. I was shooting with the night setting, couldn't figure out how to shut of the flash and a lot of the pictures would make you think you are stoned but we had a great time and that is what counts.
Let me know if you have a request for a photo that I didn't post. I may have it, I may not.
Regards,
Mark
