well, that's a panzerfaust mounted on a donkey. The legs and frame are seriously rube glodberg, but it looks like a serious atempt to make a remote control pzfaust launcher. They lost a lot of troops getting lcose enough to tanks to kill them, so...

Actually this was encountered in Iraq. A friend wrote about it in his book
"The Devil's Sandbox". M-1 vs donkey towing cart with mounted RPG.
'Gunner target right uparmored donkey & cart'
'identifed!'
'Up!'
'Fire!'
'On the way!'
Ka-boom and splat!

Didn't the Afghans have a Mule mounted (or transported) anti aircraft gun in the war with the Soviets?

I can't help but think what a waste of an HE round. That's way overkill
But makes a heck of a war story, eh?

That actually seems like it would make a lot of sense. Mountainous terrain, plus the desire to have something that would blend in a bit better, or at least look like it could be non combatants.
