When I was at Parris Island they had the PCP Platoon. It was made up of injured and overweight recruits that were to reconditioned and recycled back into the system. We called it the "pork chop platoon".
Kids are so much fatter, and poorly conditioned than just one generation before. My nephew is 9 and weighs more than I did as a junior in high school. No one in our family tree has ever been that obese at any age. His parents won't get a handle on it. He is a good student and wants to be a pilot but sadly will not be eligible by the time he is 18.
