Greetings from the Netherlands, i have here a peculiar cone, which was dug up 40 years ago or so in the Netherlands, I was wondering what it is. Speculation resulted in that it was a droptank from ww2. But I have my doubts about that. Droptanks usually are made out of 1 continuing peace, at least not with a nosecone like this as far as I know.
The cone seems to be attachable, with patterns of screw holes and it has a bonding wire glued with a cloth of fabric unto its composite like structure. The grey part on the cone, or cone nose is made of aluminum. To the naked eye the material of the cone looks like cardboard/resin composite.
Does anybody know what it is??
