Is it my imagination or is the advanced international Super Hornet starting to look like an F-14? The IRST under the nose, the tandem cockpit and conformal tanks give it a familiar profile.

I can't say that I agree. It definitely looks different...but not anything like the Tomcat.

It's your imagination. It looks nothing like an F-14. If I had to guess what it looked like, I'd say it strongly resembles an F-18.
