Since "FIFI" is back in the air and I am moving to my new home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area soon, as part of the agreement with the Cavanaugh folks, I will be moving all my updates to the B29/B24 website and discontinuing any further updates on this forum. My interest now is to take you and all the other folks out there to the squadron website and to make that site the focus of everyones attention, that have an interest in the B-29 and the B-24!
My sincere thanks to all, for the interest and support of those that have been watching, the WIX hosts and editors.

My cell phone takes some weird pictures. I took one of the C-17 cranking up and the blades look like they are coming out of the cowling.

That is the algorithm in the Iphone's processor.., it is actually a pretty interesting effect.., they most likely could not recreate it if they tried.., it is a 'FLAW'., and yet to be fixed. Most of the time the spinning blades look like rubber or liquid 'spin'. I would love to see the C-17 fan blades.

Best,

Zane Thanks for the picture and video. Good to hear Alan took care of ya!

WIX, "FIFI" had a good flight out to MAF this morning, when departing they noticed something they did not like and are currently troubleshooting the issue. I wish I could tell you more specifics, but I just don't have them and don't want to bother the maintenance folks! I will update if and when I find out more details.

After the disappointment of yesterday's maintenance squak, our crew went to work, and "FIFI" is now on her way to California.

Honor the veterans today, as we try to every day by flying and showing off "FIFI"

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS PAST AND PRESENT

Where on the airport is she parking? There's an EAA meeting there tonight. Fifi is going to fly right over my friend's place in Seal Beach! Tracking it on flightaware, she's only about 90 minutes to two hours or so away from landing here. First west coast visit in 15 years!!!

John I really don't know where on the airport grounds she will be, but she is officially part of the AOPA AirportFest display area, so look for all those high tech things, then you will see a real airplane with four big old props belching smoke and oil like real airplanes should! Take some pics of her for us if you can. I think this is her first time out of Texas in about five years!

Just received a text that "FIFI" is on the ground in Long Beach with no problems en route! If you are in the Long Beach area stop by and see the old girl!
