Does anyone know where I can get a tach drive cable made? I need a particular length that I think will need to be custom made.
Thanks!

I considered that but the nuts on each end are the issue there. Thanks for the input, though.

I think Aircraft Spruce may offer it.

I've had mine made through Univair... They should be able to custom make them

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post via PM and replies here. I've gotten many good suggestions for sources and am hoping they will pan out. Even those suppliers who couldn't help have referred me to others they thought could. Besides, if nothing else, I've gotten to talk to some interesting people! Thanks again!

Thanks again to all that replied. I managed to blunder (literally) across a guy locally that made the cables for me. He did a wonderful job, was quick, and was VERY reasonable as far as cost. :D

No point in letting us in on the source though...

Never fear, I had planned on letting everyone in on the "secret" when I found his info again. I suppose I could have mentioned that but forgot to do so. In any event, I'll post it when I find it.

Maybe we can develope a sticky with known businesses/people that will support warbirds and/or GA birds in a quality and timely manner. We've got several lists on the TDIClub website for various sources, services and trusted mechanics/shops for our VW diesels and it gets updated as people source new shops and/or people.
This wouldn't be an advertisement type thing, as the only positngs allowed would be from the users/purchasers.

Food for thought as we work in an ever shrinking, but highly competetive area.
