Hi there.
Anyone have a lead on an airworthy or potentially airworthy Curtiss Reed fixed pitch prop at approx 94" diameter. It is to suit a "C" model Staggerwing with a Jake but as I understand it it is the same as used on some of the Waco's.
Cheers

These are very scarce and expensive in the US. I see these most commonly on Wacos so you might want to try some of those folks.

We'll keep on trying and see if we can hunt one down, and will definately try some Waco folk and see what surfaces.
Thanks
Model or Type?

Do you know what model Curtiss Reed? I think there might be a "square" hub Curtiss Reed left over From Halterman Aviation's inventory at Creve Coeur Airport here in St. Louis. I have not seen it for a few years but I can look for it this weekend. As I recall it was at least 94" but I do not know if it's the right model for the early Jake powered Staggerwing.

I see Al Jr. corrected the spelling. Good job! It is Curtiss-Reed. I sell the manuals for them if needed. Expect to pay in the $8000-10,000 range for one. The longer it is the more expensive!
