Just got a phone call from Lt. Col Jim Hill of the Famed VMF-214 Blacksheep that "Boo" passed away monday afternoon in the hospital after another fall. Boo was a Great Friend and a Great Fighter Pilot. He is joining the other great squadron mates that have left us with great memories.

Another of the Greatest Generation flown west. Three of my
heroes gone in a week....Bert Earnest, Bill Ecker, and now
Boo.....

We owe these men much more than simply our freedom.
They saved the entire world.
