Jim Driskell, "The Voice of Bob Hoover" RIP

I have just received word that Jim Driskell passed away. Jim was the Voice behind Bob Hoovers airshow act(s) and set the standard for airshow announcing. Jim was a good friend to many in the aviation community.
Godspeed my friend.

and another piece of history slips through our collective fingers-heard Jim's commentary many, many times over 30 years @ airshows all over the country-godspeed indeed

That's a darn shame. I had the opportunity to work with Jim on some promotional material (web based). He was a great guy and easy to work with.
I'm a better person having known him.
