Grumman's famed test pilot Corwin " Corky" Meyer passed away on June 1 2011. He was heavily involved with The F6F,F7F,F8F, F9F, Grumman Jaguar jet, and F11F test programs. He retired from Grumman. He was a regular contributor over the years to Flight Journal magazine. He published his memoirs as : Corky Meyer's Flight Journal."

Wow, sorry to hear of his passing and sorry to hear about it so far after the actual occurrence. I watched a few interviews done with him and read quite a few of his Flight Journal articles. He was a great guy with an interesting career. He will be greatly missed.
