Cindy and I were watching the Rose Parade the other morning on TV. The hosts were talking by cell phone with George Lucas (the parade's Grand Marshall) about his upcoming projects, which he said included the next Indiana Jones installment and a movie about the Tuskegee Airmen! Both of those grabbed my attention! Anyone have any insider info on this?

Wasn't there already a movie done of the Tuskegee Airmen?

I think I remember seeing it, and I also remember that a member of the Tuskegee Airmen gave a talk at the Arlington Airshow a few years back and made some comments about the movie.

He said that it was somewhat accurate, but it was Hollywood-ized with things like a P-51 being stolen and crashed (he said never happened), as well as the Tuskegee Airmen smoking and not doing their uniforms well. The vetran said that they were treated like any white airmen would have, and they played by all the rules, and followed them too.

Anywho Cheers,

David

There was an HBO-made movie a few years ago, "The Tuskegee Airmen". Lawrence Fishburn starred. Pretty good flick I thought. Some good mustang stuff and tho hollywoodized, a pretty good story.
