I have been looking for the tour airplanes on flight aware and they rarely show up.
Is flight aware based on filed flight plans or something different?

If it is on flight plans does the tour file them?

Thanks
Z

When the planes can fly VFR, they go point-to-point VFR without a VFR flight plan. If they do show up, they have filed IFR. They are fully capable of flying IFR, but if at all possible they fly VFR.

Flight Aware only tracks IFR plans from what I have seen.

Flight aware tracks airplanes that have filed and activated an IFR flight plan.
