I assumed the same thing, as I am searching for a complete tailwheel for my Boomerang project. However the internal hole dimensions do not line up with the Tailwheel axle diameter. The internal hole is only 16mm diameter. The internal measurement rim to rim is 88mm, Hub diameter is 104mm.
Sounds like it should fit a T-6 or a P-40 (12.50 SC). Made by Kelsey-Hayes and Firestone in the US, if not others as well. You'd help yourself out if you'd get rid of that silly mm stuff! The 5/8" hole should be the smaller of the two (the outer bearing inner race inner diameter) on the snap ring end. The inner bearing is larger in diameter. If both bearings are the same, it is for a forked tailwheel. Don't know the application in that case but I have seen those as well.
Common currently made replacement tire is a 5.00-4 which can be obtained from Desser Tire in the US. If you have an old surplus tire don't fly one marked "Rayon" as the Rayon will not hold up after all these years.
P.S. Think it would fit an Anson as well if you have any of those Downunder.
