Aircraft in a Kitchen

Well, I have made it home with the PT-19 fuselage. With a little work, I managed to load the whole thing on the boat trailer, secured it and made it home without incident.

Now, when in the future someone tells you that they heard about some crazy guy who had an airplane inside his apartment . . . yup, that'll be yours truly.

Three friends helped me to bring the PT- inside my apartment, and now it is sitting right behind me, in what used to be my living room and kitchen area, now possibly the smallest hanger in the world : )

She drew the line on the Indian Motorcycle in the Dining Room. I couldn't see why it would get in the way. Of course, the fact that I had just cleaned out the crates of NOS parts from the same spot might have something to do with. The TV trays worked fine- I don't know why she was bitching about the turret power pack on the dining room table.

If you don't believe me, ask her!

I have to say that the warehouse allowed our relationship to move to more stable points...

Congratulations on the safe move Tulio, I have been wondering how it went. Good to hear that she is safe and sound under cover.

I think the elevators will fit nicely under the bed, along with maybe the flaps. The ailerons and rudder will definitely take up the bedroom closet, and I think the Ranger is just about going to fill up the bathtub. Let see, use one wing for your dining room table, and the other........ Oh boy Tulio, we might have to remove a couple of these walls. Your landlord won't notice will he? :lol:

Maybe you can surprise her one day. Put glass tops on some of the
stuff...frame the rest and proudly display it on the wall. Put everything
on E-bay for 10 times its' value. Have the MotoArt price catalog ready
for her perusal when she gets home.

She will be so PROUD of you!!! You'll be flying in no time!!!

Hi, guys!

If I knew how to post photos here, I would have done so a long time ago.

I don't like having to go to create a file elsewhere and then link it, because it would become an additional task to the already too much stuff I already do with this computer. #$%^&*

There is no "SHE" here on purpose, so decoration is not high on my list of issues; aviation is and has been the love of my life, and besides hitting my head against the walls, I rarely miss female companionship.

Now, if there was a red-head of oh, let's say about 43-47 years of age, one of them cute red-heads, not the ugly ones, and she would be crazy about airplanes, and, and, and . . . I would probably go for her. : )

The move was not a big deal, I pulled to the side of the road, just outside of McAlester, OK to check on the tension of the straps and when I got back into my truck, I noticed a police car behind me, lights flashing and all.

A nice kid (Officer, of course) stepped out of the car, and stated: " I just wanted to make sure that you are OK and that you are not having any problems with your load."

That, a short conversation and a handshake, and I was on my way home again.

I am pursuing a rumor about a hangarful of PT parts, somewhere in the Houston area. ...

Sorry Tulio,
I didn't realise that it was Forgotten Field who had the common sense
to also keep and enjoy his jewels in the house. The MotoArt tactic
probably won't work for FF...She has the L-5...FF's "jewels" are probably
where she wants them!

One suggestion Tulio, when you get the powerplant rebuilt I would suggest taking it elsewhere before cranking it up.

It makes you wonder why those guys in Fort Worth couldn't find a kitchen for their B-36.

Heck, this is Texas pardner!!! I could very easily fit a B-36 squadron in my kitchen! ; )

Sanding, chipping and grinding will begin tomorrow, if I don't have to travel to work soon.

now there's another thought, perhaps rob ought to instal something similar in his kitchen for slicing the veggies in large quantities?

it's only jealousy honest, my wife refused to let me instal anything which can be self mobile inside the house which is why the dog stays outside too ( her dog but hey a rule is a rule!

)

Make sure you turn the stove top off. I seem to read too many stories about warbirds being destroyed by hangar fires!
