I was a very lucky man a just over a week ago after having the very good fortune to be invited to the Flug Werk media day at their factory in Gammlesdorf north of Munich and then onwards to their flight test facility at Manching Airbase for the official first flight of their beautiful FW190. "Would you like to come to Germany to see a FW190 fly?" Well, I think I took about 30 seconds to respond to that question. :-)

What a fantastic day and what a very special aeroplane. The Flug Werk machine is certainly an extremely well built and faithful reproduction of the original machine ("The entire airframe is as close as 98% faithful to the original, with some very minor deviations") quite a thoroughbred indeed and I look forward to seeing them in the skies again soon.

Anyway I took about two 160 pictures on the day and wondered if anyone would like to see a selection?

(Never posted pics online before so a hint as to how and which facility to use as a storage would be good)

You can email them to me Andy, as I'd very much like to see them, but to host them, try photobucket.com.

I'm absolutely in love with that plane :) I'd really enjoy seeing whatever photos you have.

Not sure if this pic sample will work in the message, but here is the link to a Flug Werk Webshots gallery I just set up as well.

Thanks for sharing the photos. The "hot link" to Webshots photos works for about a day then the link is no good. To post photos in this way I would suggest something like Image Shack. Webshots is good for putting together on-line photo albums.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Thanks for sharing.

http://www.photobucket.com is also a good site for hosting pictures and its free. It also generates the code you need to link the photo so all you do is cut and past. I find it to be extemely easy to use.
