Oh my is this a HUGE hulk of engineering. Progressing slowly but surley. Much better than when it was outside at Offutt.

Great to see they are doing great work. I am planning a visit as we speak, so it is great to see these.

Mustangdriver,

If at all possible shoot for a second Saturday of the month. If you become a member you can go on the tour at 1:00 PM. This March the Vulcan and B 58 will be open for what I believe are the first times ever at this facility.

I missed the B 36 last year because of kids baseball games. Still grumpy about that one but hey, the kids are pretty cool too......

I am a huge fan of this museum, but I have yet to visit it. I have met a few of the volunteers there, and they were just really nice people. Do you have any pics of the B-25, and the B-17? The B-1 that is there is the one that used to be on display at Wright Pat.

Work is getting in the way. More to come.

The B1 is done and ready for the poles. the concrete foundations are ready and they are working on funds to build the mounts. Sad in some ways that she is destined to be a gate guard but what an awesome sight she will be.

Stay tuned for both B 25s, B 17 etc.

Let me know when you are heading to town. If I am free I may try to swing out as well. I bet the staff will love to meet you with your other museum experience. I do not have any affiliation with them but having spoken with several they seem like they would open WIX folks with open arms. The guy I was talking with about the B 58 was as wound up as I was when he told me what it looked like inside when they opened it. The front two cockpits evidently looked like time capsules.

i work at the museum part time in restoration and I can tell you there is hidden progress inside, the cockpit has been completely restored well done, and they are working on the crew compartment and radio room at the moment, lots of work and time involved but it shows
