A couple of hours ago, I drove on Choteau avenue, in St. Louis, to see if the F-86 was still at the trucking company's lot.

It was.

It has been now over 5 years since the first time I saw this airplane, and it basically remains at the same place.

Does anyone know if there are plans to -ever- bring it back to flying condition?

Saludos,

Tulio

Tulio,
This is an ex-Yugoslavian F-86 that was very complete when it arrived in the U.S. back in the mid 1980s. A few parts like the canopy and radar nose have vanished in it's travels through AZ, TX, IL, and MO. The current owner is trying to find the missing items but so far, no luck. The owner has several more jets in storage including two MiG-21s, two Mig-17s, an A-7, and at least one F-4C.

Al,

Thank you for the information.

I recall seeing parts of the Polish-marked MiG-21s, but did not see the A-7... probably stored at a different location?

Saludos,

Tulio
