I've seen too many airplanes destroyed by the term "Static Restoration."

We are working with a ranger V12 at Yankee Air Museum. Our hope is to make it a rolling cut away display. We need some parts if anybody has some not good enough for a running engine. Would also have interest in your 6 cylinder, shoot me some details. Thanks JOE

What about the hole in the case?!

Were there any Ranger engines built that would actually last? I've seen so many Ranger sixes with windows in the case I would almost be afraid to fly behind one.

I wonder if the engine threw the rod because they ran it upside down, not knowing any better? After all, that is supposed to be an inverted V-12.

Maybe they didn't have the oil system configured right? Guys ran the inline Rangers "upside down" for years in oval track racing. We are running ours "upside down" in our roadster project.

Running a 6 "upside down" isn't a huge mod, but running a 12 is a major piece of re-engineering as there had to be significant changes to keep everything in the supercharger and accesory sections lubricated.
