All,

At NWOC this weekend, the EAA lobbyist talked about the LASP. This is a really slippery slope, it would spell the end of the Warbird rides program, but a bigger threat is that it represents the biggest attack on aviation freedom in history.

PLEASE write you legislators in WDC and ask them to help stop this TSA rule making process. This is not a law, this is a regulatory process so we need comments on the comment site as well as letters to Senators and Congress.

AOPA has details about how to comment at www.AOPA.org I am sure EAA has it too.

This is scary stuff.

BTW, NWOC was great and the attendance was good.

Doug Rozendaal

Here is a link to some of the previous discussion regarding the LASP.

Bumpo............

I hope everyone who enjoys operational warbirds has sent a letter to their congressional representative. This is the last week for comments.

This is truely a warbird killer.

Thx,
VL

Might I suggest that everyone operating a potentially affected warbird hand out flyers saying, "This may be the last appearance ever of this aircraft at an airshow, this aircraft will be grounded shortly by the TSA"

Following that should be an explanation of LASP and contact info for all the relavent government bodies to complain to.

Maybe not soon enough for 2/27/09, but if thousands of airshow goers start calling and e-mailing their representatives, they may start to have some second thoughts.
