What's on your list of hard to find warbird parts ?

New Merlins or Allisons in crates etc ?

I'm amazed at how much NOS parts for WW2 and later aircraft appear on ebay in the USA , there still must be lots of bargain surplus purchased in the 60's , 70's and 80's that are being sold in garage and workshop clearancesby the next generation in deceased estate sales etc.

I'm still running across WW2 surplus parts down here in Indonesia from stores clearances but mainly C47 bits ... no Mustang parts yet :(

I did find a reasonable cache of parts last week (about 2 large truck loads) which I'm in the process of buying, 4 large crates of F-86 and Mig 17 - 21 instruments , Mig 17 maintenance documents and drawings (about 8 cu ft), JETCAL tester , a Wright R-1820 NOS for a H-34 , some other parts which I can't identify that could be T-33 ... I'll probably get it 3 months from now

When I get my hands on this package I'll take some photos of the hangar ... straight out of an Indiana Jones "Raiders of the Lost Part" !

You asked, so here goes ... Lockheed hard point mounts for dropable fuel tanks... P-38, B-34, PV-1 and for me, PV-2. All the same darn thing with minor changes per application.

Find some of these for us and I'll fly to SWP myself and buy ya a beer - or come close to it, anyhow...

Keep digging, man, keep digging...

I suspect these aren't that hard to find.
I don't have a Boeing Part number for it but it appears to be a generic throttle or mixture locking tab-spacer.
Application- B17G
I just need one...

Hi Spanner, I think you could make that lock spacer in a few hours :D

If I run across anything I'll keep it in mind
