Hello All,
Happy New Year. Just wanted to let you know that the "In Memory of Gary Austin" stickers are done and will be available through Dave Miller at CAF HQ by late week. we ran them last week, they look great. These are designed to go on the outside. i remember someone asked about inside placement , sorry but that would have meant an entire new set of "mirror image" plates as well as the conventional ones we made. i was only able to spring for the one set because i had to buy a die for the specialty shape. These are a heavy tack removable adhesive. They came out great and i hope will be a lasting tribute to a highly respected friend and colleague.

Regards

Simon Diver

Is there a way to place an order. It looks like his e-mail address is not correct on the CAF website.

If the CAF can market them on their PX site, then we should be able to pay for them through paypal with proceeds going to the B-29 B24 Squadron. Seems that would be the easiest way. Anyone agree?

This will probably surprise a bunch of folks but I'm not sure how I feel
about these decals and will pass on them :(

I'm with you on this subject Jack. I'm a bit conflicted myself. I guess I should keep my opinions to myself but I suspect there are a few other folks here who might join us "on the fence" when it comes to the subject of Gary Austin and the CAF. Okay, I'll just stop typing now.

Even if I have to order one from Bin Laden himself, I'm going to get a sticker and put it on my toolbox in the hangar as a salute to Gary.

I am also on this fence. I think I might just make my own decal to honor Gary. :?

Well I know what you guys mean and it is rather ironic, but think about how the profits from your purchase will help fund something that Gary truly loved - the B-24/B-29 Squadron.

Maybe that won’t change your mind but that’s what I’ll be thinking about when I buy some of the stickers.

I can't speak for anyone else but for me it's really not the CAF that is the stumbling block for me (well maybe 15%).
