Hello Folks:

Several years back there was a Hellcat and Ford Trimotor kept at the Flying Lady Golf Course in Morgan Hill, Ca. They would actually land on the golf course. The Flying Lady closed down, because of a lawsuit, but does anyone know where the Hellcat found a new home?

Very doubtful they're the same.
The F6 he sold Lone Star was a project that
was restored by Steve Piacitti at Hayward and
flown to Texas by John Hess(?).

The FLYING LADY hellcat was the one sold to LONESTAR and restored in HAYWARD. There was a WARBIRDS WORLDWIDE article about it years ago.

I could be wrong, but I think I heard something about it ground looping at the golf course.

Its was damaged on landing at the FLYING LADY. The WARBIRD WORLDWIDE issue is #10. It as well as the WARBIRD RESOURCE GROUP index state the history of N4998V.

What a riot, I live in Morgan Hill and drive past the Flying lady every day on the way to work. Or at least pretty close to it. I remember seeing the tri motor as a kiddie goin' to eat there with my parents.. Shoee was that what? Back in the 60s? Memory is foggy.

The Flying Lady was still going until around 1995, when a balcony collapsed, and someone sued.

No,

N9651 was at the Hill Country Transportation Museum, also known as the Flying Lady in Morgan Hill since 1971, when it was owned by Irv Perch. Kermit Weeks purchased the plane in 1993, after the museum closed it's doors. The plane was painted in the colors of Trans World Airline.
