Hey Dave, great shooting. It was a fun event with great friends and some fine flying. Photos to follow.

Should I post any of Shane (RCAF_100) flying in the P-40?

Eric

Fine with me, of course.

I think that's a great picture of Eric in the back seat, looking out through the lens....

Yes plz Eric and I hope RCAF_100 post some pics of his flight in the Kittyhawk :D

Dave as always a excellent display in the Kittyhawk, you gave us every angle of the aircraft. :)

Can't wait til the next CHAA event, they are very well run and very relaxed compared to the bigger more commercial shows.

Still have to go through the video my wife took, looks pretty good on a fast scan throgh it.

Cheers Dave C

Thanks, Dave.

I hope to get an ACE card later this summer (scheduling....) and thus be able to demo the airplane's rolling ability, which is remarkable for a fighter.

I also had the pleasure of shooting CHAA’s latest restoration, Yale RCAF 3399, in the air.

Well, now that I had some free time and my internet connection is working again, I can finally post pics.

Ramp crew briefing and visiting aircraft.

Echelon break.

View from the back of the P-40:

And since we're posting photos of each other taking photos, here ya go Eric!
(with my sister...future Harvard pilot)
Image

Now funny as it seems, the only photo I took on Saturday of my Yale was from the P-40...not a bad vantage point I might add..
Image

Dave doing his stuff.
Image

As Dave said before, a remarkable rolling ability... :D
Image

Basic instruments only in the back...
Image

Now did you ever see a DH82C flying without a canopy? (long story)
Image

I thought this shot of Kent & Dave heading for home turned out well:
Image

And since the overcast skies weren't favourable for photography, here's a couple shots from the Yale's 2nd test flight on June 11th:

Sorry, no. Although I'm not working, I have prior commitments. One of these years I'll make the trip down. Hopefully I'll see you at Thunder.
