I'll add my 2 cents worth to this. I have had a copy of that video for many years, and it is well worth the price if you are interested in the subject. I am very interested in it, because I used to watch the carrier operations in real life. I was only 7 or 8 years old, but lived in Lake Forest, Illinois, about 5 miles south of Great Lakes Naval Base, on Lake Michigan.
The two carriers were based at Navy Pier in Chicago and would cruise up and down the western shore of the lake between Chicago and Milwaukee.
The planes would operate out of NAS Glenview, which was about 15 miles north of Chicago. (It is now closed) I would watch the SNJ's, Wildcats, TBMs and a few assorted other types, land on the wooden decks. More than once, we watched them miss the deck and go into the lake and I watched them push an SNJ overboard, after it ended up on its nose and damaged the prop and engine.
