Curious if any Wixers are going or are there? Pix please for those of us not fortunate enough to go. Was on my list of shows to make, but my boss had other plans

Sorry you can't make it out. Several WIXers have stopped by the planes... Hopefully more tomorrow. Here's a link to a few pics from this morning.

Thanks Matt!

Wondering if Jerry Yagen brought any of his collection to the show? Not many warbirds...more of a current military hardware theme or are the warbirds somewhere else on another ramp? Did the weather clear enough for some flying?

Sorry for all the questions...really wanted to go.

6trn4brn. The warbirds that were @ Oceana yesterday included two each of the following. Mustangs, Corsairs and Bearcats. There was also a couple of T-6s, T-28 and some PT-17s. The weather was actually pretty nice though the ceilings were low. It cleared off around 1:00. I went over to Yagen's place today and all of his planes were inside including the JU-52. I took a few pics with my phone so I'll let somebody else post em if they got them.

If you go to the Air Show Buzz forums you will get all the information and photos you want (and probably don't want, also) relating to last weekend's air show at NAS Oceana.

My wife, daughter, and I went on Saturday and had a wonderful time! Evie (my 2 year old) described the jets thusly: "It'sa loud." :)

The Raptor made one pass and pitch up before getting some sort of technical error and aborting back to Langley, so we were treated to an extra display of two P-51s flown by Snort and Dan Friedkin... which was absolutely fine with me, I'd rather watch them than the F-22 anyways! The Horsemen flight demo was gorgeous, as expected, and the Heritage Flight with the Superbug and Collings Corsair was just beautiful.

A great day, all in all! Will post pics if there's interest.

Lynn

Sorry for the delay but yeah...there were a few warbirds down the way. We had a great (other than having the crud) it was a great show! The best part by far was flying the Wounded Warriors. Below is link for some pics from their flight with Team Vandy 1. Simply awesome work these guys are doing. I've also posted a link with some L-39 / P-51 action from the weekend. Enjoy!
