OK, Nobody could guess what I was referring to. The Warhawk Museum P-51C "The Boise Bee" took to the skies Sept. 29 in the capable hands of John Maloney. A few problems to work out but it is back in the air.

It's not that we didn't know what you were referring to Don. Rather, you're just a tad late with the news! :)

I don't know how I missed that thread. I was wondering why there was no news on it.

Don’t miss this opportunity to watch the Mustangs fly!

WWII "Triple Ace" Col. Bud Anderson, leading Ace of the 363rd Fighter Squadron with 16 ¼ victories, will be the guest speaker on Sat. and Sun. He will talk about Lt. Col Duane Beeson and his exploits during WWII and his own experiences while flying "Old Crow" P-51 Mustang against the Germans during WWII. Members of the Beeson family will attend the dedication of the "Boise Bee" Mustang honoring their relative, Lt. Col. Duane Beeson. WWII W.A.S.P. and P-51 Mustang pilot, Kay Gott Chaffey and Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, granddaughter of General Jimmy Doolittle, will talk about Kay’s experiences as a pilot during WWII. Special guest, Christina Olds, daughter of Brigadier General Robin Olds (July 14, 1922 – June 14, 2007) "Triple Ace", with a combined total of 16 victories in World War II and the Vietnam War, will do a book signing. The P-51 Mustangs will fly several times each day and John Lane will talk about the evolution of the P-51 Mustang design.
