This is an illustration I just completed of one of the "Thunder Hunters", a special postwar NACA unit charged with researching thunderstorms. They employed the P-61 for its tremendous structural strength. I attempted this piece before in B&W, using pencil, ink and airbrush, but was disappointed with the results. I decided to take another crack at it digitally, this time in color, and I'm more pleased with the final image. Here it is, submitted for your amusement...
