Hey,

Had a quick question for all you Belle nuts. My dad is currentlly putting some finely detailed Memphis Belle decals onto a 1/144 Big Bird B-17F. In the aftermarket decal set they give you 2 blue wheel covers and 2 red wheel covers. Does anybody know the difference or when and where they were used? Thanks in advance.

I've been told that the left cover was blue and the right cover red--I have no idea if this is true or not. Perhaps someone involved in the current restoration might have exact information from the research they've done.

There is documentation that the left one was blue. Watch the WWII documentary after they land. There is a shot of them taxing in and you can see the blue wheel cover
