A very interesting aircraft has landed at the docks in western USA...

A Russian SU-25G model Frogfoot 1970s/80s era Russian ground attack - on par with the A-9 of the USAF - AX fame - has arrived at a western USA port fresh from shipping.

I wonder if this will be static or a flying warbird..

If it becomes a flyer, won't that make an interesting 'Heritage Flight' pairing with an A-10? Is NASA still flying the NORTHROP A-9A? That would be an interesting pairing also.

Nope. Apparently they didn't fly them for very long. Here's the Wiki page with lots of info:

The two prototypes are on display at Edwards AFB and the March Field Air Museum in California.

The one I saw a few months ago didn't look like it was on display. It was located in the backlot with a bunch of other cool stuff !
