"Rosario, Argentina, 1947. This plane was the first Spitfire that flew in Argentina, was a civilian aircraft owned by an ex RAF pilot named James (Jaime) Ehving Storey, this plane was confiscated by the Argentinian goverment in 1949, for use in evaluation agaist the Italian fighter Fiat G-59, later was used as 'camera plane' in test of the air to air missile AM-1 Tabano, in one of these fights crash landed due to a motor failture, with no spares and will to repair the old bird, it was scrapped in 1952."
